Helps International (HINT)

帮助国际(提示)non-profit based in Buea, Cameroon. HINT was founded in 2002 by Pastor Genesis Tinshu as a means of promoting the social values of his church, Buea Community Church, in the greater community. HINT manages several programs with a focus on increasing access to technology, educating youths, building health awareness, and promoting economic growth. The Kingdom Community Fund (KCF) is a subsidiary of HINT that operates a microfinance program as a means of supporting HINT’s economic mission in the local community.

HINT is always looking for volunteers and partners to supports its mission. Please do not hesitate to contact us with inquiries on how you can be involved. We also accept volunteers willing to create their own programs.

Mission:

Our mission is to improve the health and social and economic well-being of the underprivileged in our community through education, skill development, and job creation.

Objectives:

1. To bridge the digital divide:
a. By helping school children gain ICT skills and exposure through the School PCs Project.
b. By helping underprivileged youths within the community to gain ICT skills through Community IT Training Centres.
2. To give the poor and underprivileged a chance to be educated:
a. By providing for the educational needs of orphans and underprivileged children through Child Sponsorship.
b. By setting up Community Education Centres in needy communities to cater for the education needs of the poor and underprivileged.
3. To improve the health of the underprivileged poor:
a. By training HIV Educators who in turn will educate their communities, social groups and families on how to prevent HIV and other diseases.
4. To fight poverty and unemployment:
a. By providing access to low-interest loans and business management training to the poor through our microfinance program, the Kingdom Community Fund.
b. By equipping unemployed and underemployed youths with marketable IT skills to help them find employment.
