Overview

Our mission is to improve the well-being of the underprivileged in our community through education, skill development, and job creation.

Volunteers are a critical part of the work we do to help the less privileged and we value the contribution they bring to our organisation. Since our founding, HINT has received dozens of volunteers from around the world who have made a significant contribution to our community through the programs we offer. We have received volunteers from the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Chile, and of course Cameroon, among other countries.

HINT runs programs related to our mission:

1. To bridge the digital divide
2. To give the poor and underprivileged a chance to be educated
3. To improve the health of the underprivileged poor
4. To fight poverty and unemployment

Our permanent projects provide: technological access through our computer training centres and school distribution program; support for education by getting resources to those in need; and provide financial access through the Kingdom Community Fund.

Our non-permanent projects provide health awareness to the local community through training and medical outreach programs.

All of our programs are deeply dependent on volunteer support for management. We are open to (and encourage) volunteers to run their own programs based on their own skills and knowledge. In the past, volunteers have run summer sports programs for youth and week-long health outreach seminars. HINT also partners with other non-profit organizations in the area and can find placements for volunteers with these partners (such as teaching English or working in an orphanage). HINT also encourages volunteers to design their own projects.
