Overview

There are numerous ways you can get involved and help support our mission to advance the education and well being of Granada’s impoverished children. We have a variety of volunteer positions available ranging from teaching English to building houses. They’re open on a rolling basis and there are no program fees to participate.

Our main focus is on education at a very basic level. The majority of our volunteers work in our learning centers with young children. Nicaraguan primary school students attend school in the morning. During the school year they are open all day and volunteers will work in teams, alongside local interns, covering the afternoon shift (4-5 hours).

For all positions, we prefer that volunteers have at least an intermediate level of Spanish. As an English Teacher you would be working with children in the learning center in the afternoons working with two to five students.
