Overview
The Centre for Girls and Interaction (CEGI) is a Malawi-based organization primarily concerned with creating access to information on girls' and young women's rights through interaction, advocacy, documentation, education, and networking for positive change.
Our organization will only cover office/work based expenses incurred by volunteers during their work. The volunteers will be responsible for their travels to and from Malawi. Locals travel costs. meals and accommodation (CEGI will help volunteers find affordable. safe and accessible places for accommodation.)
Important Information
Volunteers will receive orientation on the projects and will be introduced to our local staff and volunteers who they will be working with, and shown around Nkhata Bay town if they wish. After the initial orientation, volunteers will continue to receive support from the management and project leaders, but are expected to have a degree of independence and be able to work from own initiative.
Depending on the project, we expect a contribution of around six hours a day, then there’s loads of activities to keep volunteers busy during spare time! Breaks during the package can also be arranged, incase volunteers want to explore other parts of the beautiful Malawi.

Volunteers will be recruited using an equal opportunities approach and using a variety of different methods to make the broadest possible range of people aware of the volunteering opportunities offered by our organization.
