Medical Care Volunteer in Ethiopia

It's not so much that we need you as the children need you. Whether you are interested in traveling alone or organizing a team from your church, school, or community, we have a wide range of ministry opportunities that will provide a rewarding experience as you minister to those less fortunate.

We are committed to ensuring that you and your team have a successful mission trip experience. You will work closely with our staff of social workers in Ethiopia where you will form lasting one-on-one relationships, both socially and spiritually. As you return for future trips, you will be able to continue developing these relationships and witness God working through you in their lives.

Visiting Ethiopia is like stepping back in time to a culture that is nearly as primitive as it was when Jesus walked the earth some 2,000 years ago. It's a rare opportunity to see first-hand what life was like so long ago, while ministering to and touching the lives of people in need.

There are countless ways that Blessing the Children ministers to the community of Debre Zeyit, Ethiopia. Some of the outreaches you may consider include:

CHILDREN & YOUTH MINISTRY - Lead Vacation Bible School, art camp, field day, craft events, dramas, puppets, Bible stories, youth gatherings and devotionals.
SPORTS MINISTRY - Organiznig a game of soccer, football, baseball, basketball or volleyball are just a few ideas.
SCHOOL MINISTRY - Aid teachers, teach spoken English or special subjects, participate in recess, tutor students, fellowship with children before and after school. L
SERVICE PROJECTS - Complete home repairs for widows and impoverished families, build furniture, paint, teach sanitation classes or menstruation clinics, provide food and go on home visits.
CHURCH MINISTRY - Attend and participate in church services, lead Sunday school classes and prayer meetings, visit shut-ins, minister to pastor's wives, assist the pastoral staff of local churches.
ADULT MINISTRY - Organize parenting classes, Bible studies, leadership training, coffee and tea socials to minister to the women, and special men's gatherings. L
FEEDING PROGRAMS - Serve daily meals at the BCI Academy.
MEDICAL / DENTAL CARE - Provide basic healthcare screenings, wound care, dental cleanings, or bring medications or supplies.
